I am not going to get in to another Paris and London type situation. I do like Paris and London and both have good food.
The French are famous for their food and I shouldn't imagine they are happy at London being put above them. Then again over recent decades London's food scene has improved massively and even the Parisuans and Fench will acknowledge this.
I've got to agree that London has improved a great deal lately in terms of innovative cooking.
One thing that bothers me, though, is that they still can't seem to do decent pizza.
Admittedly, things could have changed since my last tour of the city.
He can't be 'proper' French! A proper Frenchman has nothing but disdain for anything British, looking down their noses at Britain is a national pastime there. That's why we've always got along so famously well. :-D
Also, Countries' capitals are rarely the epicenter of cuisine innovation, I can't even think of a proper parisian dish, almost everything that's renowned of French cuisine is actually from other areas of France, but like everything else French, it if forgotten.
Rome is great but i prefer Bologna if we talk about food
London is great because of all the foreign food available and the vegetarian / vegan options. France will probably have as many veg options around 2050.
HI Irene, still have plenty of positives to say about your English 'friends' I see. Come to think of it is any part of you French???!
