Where I live mainstream TV networks think nothing of showing children's programming on weekend mornings where you have cartoons showing little boys naked with their penises visible and bare-breasted women.
At the risk of having this guy step on me, I would say it's because Northern Ireland is probably more puritanical than the Med.
As a kid growing up, the Italian and Cuban parents in my area, and even the matter-of-fact German and French parents, used to laugh at some of the things we said as kids: "someone got hit in the nuts, large bazookas, etc.", as long as it wasn't out of control. I can tell you that the Irish-Catholic households did not care for such commentary, with one girl's uptight b itchy mother taking issue with my use of the term "pissed off." Her peaches and cream daughter, a friend, is now divorced. I wonder if her mother had a coronary from "losing face" and the "egregious" nature of the transgression upon Catholicism.
And presbyterians are just as bad. No harm. But you have some neck on you calling someone uptight. My mum is like that and I am glad because I do not curse very often. I have little respect for people who curse regulary and it makes my blood boil. It is disgusting and rude. Not only that but you show that you dont care for the people around you or indeed yourself.

How dare anybody curse like that. Disgusting.
Yeah habitual cursing is kind of classless, I don't curse/swear much in real life but I'm not like my mother who literally never swears.

Because that's how people would dress in most traditional African villages that don't have nudity taboos. In that context, it isn't sexualized. I personally don't find nudity disgusting or crude when in a non-objectifying context, in fact I think human bodies are sacred things. I know that this is a minority position from a self-confessed naturalist, but I think that it is a healthier way to view human bodies and is in keeping with my values.
Nudity is not accepted in the Philippines. People are conservative and are not comfortable seeing someone nude. Majority do not even wear swimsuits to the beach.
True most aren't comfortable seeing someone naked but there'll always be a subset of people who have a prurient curiosity...
