Not really.
Hong Kong - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hong Kong's skyline, ranked the best skyline in the world, is a major tourist attraction. Four of the 18 tallest skyscrapers in the world are in Hong Kong
At present (August, 2008), Hong Kong has the world's greatest number of skyscrapers, with a total of 7,558, ahead of the second placed city, New York City, which has 5,535.[58] Most of these were built in the past two decades.

I would have ranked New York #1 but it just isnt the same without the twin towers.

Now-a-days Im more inclined to rank medium sized, well proportioned cities in beautiful natural settings than the any number of johnny come lately skyscraper filled cities around the world.

I like that post of Sydney and Auckland earlier.

Found this phot of Auckland on Flickr
