If you had to leave Vancouver for another big city where would it be? (condos)

I'm not sure about Van for the usual reasons...polite but cold people, way too expensive, (from what I hear) poor job market, too many homeless people harassing me for money every time I go near downtown. Condos popping up everywhere in sight. A lame art scene, lame museums IMO. Too big an Asian culture for me.

What I love about Van is its gorgeous setting, cleanliness, Mediterranean climate, and the beautiful areas like Stanley Park and Granville Island. Great restaurants too, but not so much for vegetarians.

What big city would you move to if you had to?

Vancouver doesn't have Mediterranean climate. Even Washington state hardly has any Mediterranean climate anywhere.

This ain't a Mediterranean climate. Only Coastal California has a Mediterranean climate. When I move it will likely be to the Los Angeles area. Better restaurants for vegans and much more to do. I also would love all that sunshine Vancouver is a fine place though and it is "home" so if I had to stay here I'd be fine with it...there are a lot worse places to live. I have no desire to live anywhere else in Canada with the exception of Montreal...but I don't think I could settle there. I really desire a place with a mild climate and lots of sunshine.

If you do move down to LA I suggest Manhattan Beach. A little further south of LA proper but a very beautiful town.

Native Foods is an amazing vegetarian/vegan place to dine BTW
