I just said that where I live is very green I am on the northern Costa del Sol, near the Sierra Navada. Mallorca is the very green
Have you seen photos of northern Spain like the Basque country, Asturias, Galicia, Cantabria and the like? It could pass for Ireland or Scotland.
It is such a diverse country

Then do not move to Colorado. The name of the state means "red".

You said Spanish landscape which could mean all of the country but yes The Murica and Almería regions are very dry there is a desert in Almería.
If you think that is bad you should see Castile la Mancha and Castile y León.

We could all swap so everyone gets to enjoy the whole range of experiences ?
I am trying not to linger over the question as I have been a naughty lassie as usual (not studying enough of the languages so I can live where I want)..

Honestly, I won't live anywhere.. I'll change residences every Month! If I had all the money I needed, Traveling will be my biggest discretionary expenditure. With that amount of money, I could easily afford this sort of lifestyle by living off of my investments and still have plenty left to pass on to my heirs.

you'll prolly save money compared to these ppl planning on buying US$50-100 million worth of real estate. these guys will be paying millions per year in property taxes and upkeep. as a perpetual traveller just staying in hotels and serviced apartments you'll be spending a fraction of that. prolly less than US$100k/yr on accom. if you only stay in top of the top end hotel suites when you travel maybe US$200-300k/year on accom. still a lot less than the ppl buying all these useless properties. you'll also have all your money cleared up for investing, whereas they'll have all their money tied up in real estate.

I would have two residencies:
-A high-dollar apartment in Dubai, where I would live from April through September. With $100 million, I could take my time exploring the city, little by little. I could also visit other destinations in the region, such as Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Kuwait City, etc.
-A house in Cody, Wyoming that I would live in from October-March. I'd contrast the big city with small town, the heat with cold and the desert with mountains. I could go on wintertime travels to Las Vegas, Rio de Jainero, Sao Paulo and other great places in the western hemisphere.

I would likely buy property/live in the San Diego and San Francisco areas, but travel 6 months out of the year all over the world for the rest of my life. Basically, stay in SD and SF during half of the year going back and forth. I would buy like 600sq ft condo/townhouse in these two cities...just modest places to live...buy a cheap old used car(Honda Civic/Accord) to get around.
