Have to admit that the Canadian national anthem is THE best song as far as national anthems go, I know the words, at least in English (quite inspiring for freedom lovers) sing it from time to time, and I'm not Canadian either.

Americans love their own country but are also incredibly self critical of their system, etc. Most of the news articles in the European press citiciszing the US are just reprints of articles from the US press. The French are very similar in this respect.

When it comes to a people who love their country, the Swiss are hard to beat. Everyone you meet there has a genuine affection for their country and its way of life.
