Because so many people pretend they are not racist, but are fixated on racism, and are searching for validation.

Talking about race or ethnicity doesn't mean you have some hidden racist agenda.

Ideally, people should view others on an individual basis. However, the reality is that race and ethnicity are important to many people in social relationships. One of the first things people notice about each other when they meet is their race/ethnicity. That's why this topic is so prevalent on the world forums.

Because people either want to be overly PC or racist and this is an anonymous way to do it.

Some posters are incredibly ignorant and have FAR too much time on their hands to ponder the inane. Some posters need a better hobby than turning their thoughts to race/religion/nationalities all the time.

Well unbrainwashed created a another thread on this issue and suggested to create a anthropology forum or subforum under the science forum. Plus some ones such as threads which come to dating or issues regarding beauty of men or women, etc should go in the relationship forum.

I can understand there are people wanting to know these questions especially race issued ones and there are some posters that go in this topic much more than others. A anthropology forum would be great for that.

Because race issues are an issue, and have been for as long as the world has been turning. Seeing people that look identifiably different than you freaks many people out ... or feeds a fetish.

Unfortunately it's still the case. Wherever you go, you will be judged on your appearances, some places moreso than others.
