I would pick London, due to desirable location in the world (primarily time zone).

I voted London. As culturally diverse as NYC is, I think London has it beat due to easy access to the rest of Europe. I think this would make it the capital over NYC Don't think the other options would really be a consideration in my hypothetical situation, although they are beautiful cities.

London. At the centre of time, the financial centre of the world, and one of the most diverse cities on the planet.

You never know, Shanghai could also be one of the options if this poll opens up in 2020 or later.

And in what way is London 'behind' New York and / or Tokyo??? Do you have any stats to back up your claim?

If the world were one country, it would probably be appropriate to build a new capital, as has been done by Brazil, Belize, Cote d'Ivoire, Tanzania, Canada, USA, and other countries that wanted to forge a new identity. And if it was all the same country, it wouldn't matter where that would be, and if it did matter, that would be a sign of factionalism that would signal the impending failure of the unified globe. White people and black people bickering about who gets to have the capital -- has anybody noticed the absence of any African cities in the poll choices?

Here's a thought: Havana. A single world nation would no longer be faced with the economic nationalism that drives competitive productivity, and food production would become much more organic, with productivity centered on areas most suitable for harvest. rather than most driven by balance of payment. Cuba today is by far the most agriculturally organic nation on earth, and it would be fitting to center the global administration there, as a showcase of organic food production.

I voted for Singapore. Too small for all the worlds lobbyists and the Singapore legal system knows how to deal with them if they did show up.

New York is home to United Nations headquarters, higher population and population density than London, its pretty close but i personally think New York is a better city... Still not sure about Tokyo though, that city is huge and amazing infrastructure but i would hate to live there, but i know many people who think Tokyo is the best city in the world.

I still think Dubai would be a good capital though, by far one of the best locations in the world and they have alot of room to build.

New York City

London is in the UK, drives on the left, not that impressive skyline, less visitors, less famous, horrible climate, annoying accent.
