Hästö-Busö in the gulf of Finland. None of you can go there because it's a naval surveillance station.

On my bucket list are Manhattan and Île-de-Montréal.

Many islands are beautiful, but I tend to find most of them rather confining. I like to be able to take long drives, and that's not possible on many of the world's islands, especially the ones that people think of when they think of islands. (Yeah, I know, Britain is an island. But when people are thinking about islands, that's not what they picture.) So even places that I dearly enjoy visiting, such as Hawaii, are probably not places where I'd want to live.

But the OP didn't ask about my opinion of islands, but rather which ones I've been to. So let's see:

Atlantic:
Mount Desert Island
Block Island
Fishers Island
Long Island
Manhattan
Staten Island
Bermuda
Castaway Cay
Florida Keys (all of them)
(Are the Outer Banks considered to be an island? I've been there too.)

Also, I don't know if this counts, but Mont St. Michel is sometimes an island, when the tides come in. When I was there, the tides were out, and I accessed it by dry land.

Caribbean:
Saint Martin
Saint Thomas
Jamaica
Grand Cayman
Cozumel

Pacific:
Hawaii (Big Island)
Maui
Oahu
Lanai
Molokai
Kauai
Midway

River Islands:
Ile de la City (Paris)
Mud Island (Memphis)
"The Island" (Lake Havasu City, where London Bridge is)

As for which ones I'd like to visit, the top of the list is Honshu, by far. After that, I don't have any strong desires for any others. There are some I wouldn't mind seeing, like Aruba and Jeju. But I won't count my life as ruined if I don't see them.

Funny thing is some islands don't feel like islands since they are integrated with the mainland. Two examples: Manhattan and île de Montréal.

Here is a partial list for me as I am sure I forgot some:

Vancouver Island
Saltspring Island
Galiano island
Sea island
Lulu island
Whitbey island
Alcatraz
Oahu
Manhattan
Toronto island
Île de Montréal
Prince Edward Island
Cape Breton Island
Newfoundland
Iceland
Britain
Whitsunday islands
Ilha da paqueta
Hong Kong island
Lantau island

Some islands i want to visit

Other Hawaiian Islands
Ko Samui, Ko phi phi and other Thai islands
Palawan
Singapore
New Zealand
Japanese islands
Galapagos islands
Easter Island
Ireland
Svalbard
Maldives
Aruba
Greenland

Plus several more...

I also forgot Boracay (Philippines), Staten Island and Liberty Island (NY). I think some people might have forgotten to include Ellis Island, but I did not step foot on it despite visiting NYC many times.
