Not sure what this is for, but why not:

Wangerooge
Reichenau
Mainau (all Germany)
Britain
Crete
Long Island
some Island in western Scotland

I am not really an island person and usually prefer the mainland.

Some day I would like to see New Zealand.

Bah, of course I've also visited the North and South Islands of New Zealand! Also Hong Kong and Lantau Islands. How forgetful of me.

I spent my childhood on an island (Noirmoutier, Brittany, France) and by God! was I bored (Gulf Stream North Atlantic climate, extremely humid, I remember a month of December it didn't stop raining -mostly drizzle rain- for 30 days!
in summer water temperature never exceeds (in August only, in July it's much colder ) 20C/68F!
but a lot of people coming from North/ Northeastern France spend their holidays here and due to mild winters mimosa and chamaerops (cold climate palm trees ) do grow there, so to them it was actually exotic!
I hate that flat island without proper nature (only salt marshes).
Otherwise I stayed on other islands , I give a star to each experience , bearing in mind Noirmoutier is *
R island (France) **
Yeu island (near Noirmoutier)**
Port Cros island (south of France) **
I biza (Spain)***
Formentera ****
Gran Canaria ***( Canary islands)
Tenerife ****
Gomera **** "
Crete ***
Marha's Vineyard ***
Long Island (outside NYC) **
Oahu ***
Maui ****
Luzon (Philippines) ***
Negros ( " ) ***
Bohol ( " ) ***
Cebu ( " ) ***
Phuket ( Thailand) ***
Koh Lanta ( " )***
Texel (Netherlands) ***
Marietas (Mexico) ***
Victoria (Hong Kong) ****
Madeira (Portugal) **
Porto Santo (near Madeira) **
Sta Maria (Azores, Portugal) ***
Venice, Italy (yes, it's an island) ****
Getting weary of islands though (feels somehow the "Napoleon in St Helen syndrom now)

ps Geggo : I also visited Reichenau and Mainau island on Lake Konstanz, but I don't know if that counts since they are not sea islands!

Oh and Britain but that doesn't actually count since there is a Tunnel linking it to the Continent now!

That doesn't change it. Of course 10,000 years ago Britain wasn't an island.

Well you guys have really seriously traveled, that's amazing. My pitiful few islands that I have visited are Oahu, Hawaii and Kauai in 1986.

As far as islands I would like to see there are probably hundreds of them out there that I know little about, but I would like to go to Fiji and stay in one of the huts on the water where you can feed the fish from your room. I want to see and feel white soft sand and a beautiful colored ocean.

Hard to compare since they vary so much.

Hong Kong and Singapore for urbanity. Hong Kong Island is actually mostly not-built on, it's very hilly and quite vegetated.

Of course you can't go past Borneo, 2nd largest island in the world. I only saw a tiny part of it but it's a really adventurous place to visit. I hope the logging and stuff doesn't ruin it forever.

Tasmania is one of my favourite places. Beautiful.

Ko Phi Phi just off Phuket was beautiful (where the Beach was filmed) but packed with tourists.
