I agree with you on Hitler, but Robert E. Lee did NOT fight to keep slavery. The Civil War started because of State Rights, not slavery. Slavery was not even brought up officially in the war until Lincoln gave the Emancipation Proclamation after the battle of Antietam in 1862. The Emancipation Proclamation only freed slaves in the South, not the North since slavery was a hot issue overall.
Robert E. Lee actually despised slavery.
Here is an excerpt from a letter regarding his opinion of slavery:
"There are few, I believe, in this enlightened age, who will not acknowledge that slavery as an institution is a moral and political evil. It is idle to expatiate on its disadvantages. I think it is a greater evil to the white than to the colored race."
"Is it not strange that the descendants of those Pilgrim Fathers who crossed the Atlantic to preserve their own freedom have always proved the most intolerant of the spiritual liberty of others? "

And well saddam he wasnt as great a leader as Hitler or the others i put on my list. he never won a war. hitler invaded and conquered most of Europe before he For some odd reason decided to attack russia and fight a war on 2 fronts. Saddam attacked iran and it was a stalemate he invaded kuwait and had his ass kicked and then had King George the tyrant invade iraq and he went into hiding so no he was not a great leader or even a great man. he tortured his own people for no reason that i can see...

Yes hitler Developed the autobahn,he ended unemployment, he took them from nothing to a powerhouse country and world power. and yes things happen in war and cities get bombed so why are we still complaining about things hitler did during war world 2 when stalin did the same thing and alot worse. and what about the bombing of dresden, germany? where 70 thousand civilians were murdered by allied planes! and what about all those iraqi civilians king george the tyrants has sent our military in there to destroy there country and in the mean time they get killed? there are alot worse ppl in history than hitler i can think of quite a few actually.

You must have forgotten the records that the Nazi's kept. And the recently discovered burial sites found.

Hitler, Stalin and Mao are the 3 people with more blood on their hands than anyone else in human history. These were incredibly evil men (in the true sense of the world) and those who idolize them and embrace their beliefs are truly dancing with the Devil himself. Hitlers' extermination project is EXTREMELY well documented - in many cases by the NAZI's themselves (who seemed proud of what they were doing) and it's results witnessed by the thousands of American GI's who came upon the camps at the end of the war. Anyone who seriously believes the events are trumped up or even made up, has chosen to walk down a very dark path and is heaping dishonor upon the brave American (and other Allied) soldiers who sacrificed so much to rid the world of one of the most evil regimes the world has ever seen.
With such overwhelming evidence, anyone who disbeleives it is obviously making a concious, deliberate effort to do so and thus is purposely choosing evil over good. If you truly do not believe in the horrors the NAZI's inflicted on the world, then if I were you I would pray very hard that there is no God.
