The U.S.!

The worst:

Our build-it-as-fast-as-you-can-and-grab-the-profit-and-run developers, using lumber instead of more quality, longer-lasting building materials like concrete, like they employ in the rest of the world.

Those believing the U.S. is the best country in the world!

The laziness in learning a 2nd language!

The best:

Variety of climates, variety of topography, and our heavily-subsidized, cheap grocery prices!

UK

Good: safe, good education, strong economy, diverse, good opportunities for ALL.

Bad: expensive, really high taxes, bad weather, losing core british values through negative TV influence.

Argentina:

Good: beautiful landscapes, variety, good weather in general, free and good university education, non patriotic society, progressive in many ways, fun culture, a work to live culture (as opposed to live to work).

Bad: corrupted, chaotic, non sense of belonging by their habitants (the downside of the non patriotism), extreme criticism by own habitants, awful drivers, people accepting the most unaceptable behaviours, endless corrupted politics and people chosing them, an "the easier the better" attitude that is ruining this country with huge potential.

USA -

Bad - A lot of people try to tell you how to live and can't stay out of your business.
Good - Safe, patriotic, large, diverse, good food, beautiful people, good quality of life, scenery, culture

US:

The Good: Different climates for different tastes, the space, low tax burden, excellent public schools and top universities in the world, a sense of patriotism left.

The Bad: Lack of public healthcare if you're not a veteran, retired military, poor, or retired. High corruption in local and federal government.

Sophie, unfortunately the "easier is better" attitude is as Latin as it gets. Unfortunately most of our people think along the lines of "this is good enough" rather than "we can do better" which I really admire of northern Europeans and their descendants in the USA and Canada

This is so true, i too admire that from society in NorthAmerica and Europe. The "easier the better" way of life can ruin societies with great potential, no matter how educated they are. Its a shame.

Philippines :

Nice White Sand Paradise Beaches
Map looks like a puzzle, very unique
7,101 islands
A real fusion of the East and the West ( 333 years of Spanish Colonization through 200 years of Mexican governance and 40 years of American Occupation)
The only Predominantly Catholic Country in Asia ( Philippines is no.3 most Catholic Country in the world after Brasil and Mexico.
Philippines is very different from the rest of its South East Asian neighbours.
Very different culture, not oriental
Diversity in physical appearance
People ( Filipinos are the friendliest, happiest people ) they always try to help and you can always ask them for help ( cab drivers, hotel staff, supermarket salespeople-- something hard to find in other countries
Happiest people - even the poor children still dance and smile ... Also Filipino parties for grown ups do not just consist of food and Chat but of dance, songs and Parlour Games ( trip to Jerusalem, statue dance, sack race ) like being Grown Ups do not stop Filipino people from playing childish games.
So easy to book an appointment for doctors and dentists ( no need for appointment most of the time ) and dentists do not rush when they are doing something on your teeth. Dentists will usually try to finish everything and will not schedule you again for another appointment.
So easy to hire a 24 hour stay in maid and some upper middle class can even get a chauffeur.

Worst:

The gap between the Rich and the Poor is like heaven and earth
Economy
Corruption everywhere
No discipline ( Philippines probably needs tough government to impose discipline to everybody )
Dirty
Polluted
Poor Public Health Care
Poor Public Education
Hard for People to buy a House ( majority of the people rent )
Poor Infastructure
Too many English words blended in the different languages of the Philippines )
Colonial buildings and heritage sites are not given care and are being destroyed

Countries like Germany and France are far more formal.

Right. And many Americans of C-D forum, coming from a less formal society, are in awe with the continental europeans (and specially French and then German) ways. For them it's "exotic". They don't seem to understand that some people in France or Germany can find it stifling.

Default it's because of summer time GMT +2

Maybe I should have said: Long days in general.
It's one of the cons of Spain (and France), in summer they have GMT +2 , which means that when the sun is at noon, it's officially 2 PM, or at night 10:00 PM means it's in reality 8:00PM, so they have daylight like in Scandinavia! , Orwell couldnt have done better! Madrid thus is at the time zone of Warsaw in summer! Another absurdity of the "EU"
