Good - Hollywood, nice mix of modern and historic architecture, state fairs, that felling you get when you're on an airplane and the pilot announces "we have now entered USA airspace". Watching a baseball game and enjoying a beer and a hot dog.

LOL I thought I was the only person who noticed that. Everytime I see a Canadian plate on the highway they always follow speed limit and never follow the traffic.

  • free secret ice cream stands located in most every tunnel
  • Kate Upton
  • vast colonies of aggressive sea monkeys being bred in abandoned mine shafts

Default List some things you like about your country, and some thing you dislike

About your country and living in your country. Nothing CITY-specific, just about the COUNTRY as a whole.

For Australia:

Likes:

Mild climate in major cities at least (where most people live)

Fairly safe in terms of crime rate, traffic, natural hazards (seriously, I find the whole idea we're so dangerous in terms of fauna sort of silly)

Multicultural cities, including diverse cuisine

Good balance between welfare and free market economy/strong economy/job opportunities but also a government who, however incompetent, seems to care more than most places

People still decently friendly/open/having a fair go

People fairly educated and open-minded

Being in the Anglosphere we're pretty connected to the rest of the world, inc culturally

Plenty of space to escape from people

Unique flora and fauna

Dislikes:

Lacking in post-colonial history (e.g. old buildings)

Suburban landscape

East coast a bit globally isolated (but not too big a deal)

Some people are sort of closed minded, xenophobic, ignorant (although I guess that's everywhere)

The sort of boorish culture, binge drinking etc

The state of Australian politics

For Singapore

Likes :

Wide variety of food
People behave generally in a cultured manner, of course there are exceptions
Efficient and good reputation
Clean and organised
generally high standard of living

Dislikes

Weather
Our government -too elitist and does not listen what we have to say
too many immigrants
dog and dog world/society
society too focused on merit
people seems to lack compassion in general.

I am sure there are more to add, but for now these are what comes to my mind
