I just thought about this for a second and I have an idea but I am more interested in what YOU think an American looks like. Please do post a picture if you have the idea 'look' stapled in your mind.
(I am really looking forward to the replies on this one).

I don't really think of Americans as having a specific look. The stereotypical American tourist, though, is overweight, wears bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, camera around the neck, loud, perhaps kind of jovial and superficially friendly but perceived as lacking manners and being superior. I realise this is really a bad stereotype.

Fat, with good teeth.

A few decades ago they all seemed to be tanned and wear white shoes.

From what I've seen, Americans tend to be heavier overall in comparison to southern English, to wear baggier and more casual clothing, and to have "louder" body language -- in other words, more physically expressive with gestures and posture. They also seem to occupy a larger area of personal space independently of their size.

It's true that the dental phobia is endemic in the UK. It's part of the culture here, and just to helpfully remind the brits of what they dread...

Oo!! A Canadian! No, an Englishman! No......an Indian?! An Egyptian?! Iranian?! Pakistani?! South African? Cuban?! German?! Chinese? Polish?! Spanish?! Mexican?! Australian?!!!!

What about this?

HA HA HA!!! I'm just kidding. My only answer is typically, you guys look like typical Canadians. What's that mean? I don't know. We're a diverse continent. Living directly on the border all of my life, has shown me we are exactly the same in every way that counts.

What's the point of this again? Stirin' the pot, are ya?

Im lost. I honestly have no idea on what your saying(Sounds like your trying to hijack my thread). I do but I don't. I only say this because I have never meet a Canadian myself. Their must be difference--im sure their are. Their was one guy who sat in on a photo shoot I had maybe two years ago and he just sat in the back and he seemed relatively normal in the sense that he could speak but iuuno I didn't speak to him myself.

I was expecting so much more because im sitting here in CA and I honestly do not see as many fat people as people make it out to be. Or maybe people are just over extravagating it. Fat older women and some pudge here and there but you guys are just blowing it out of proportion as if were your from their are NO fat people.
