Monte Carlo has an human dimension into its urban space, as most of European cities have, which is not the case for Las Vegas or Macao.

Such those megalomaniac and wrong huge resorts!
The main reason to choose for these mega projects can be found in the much bigger opportunity for corruption in those projects.

Have you been to Macao? It's far more than just casinos. From the unesco world heritage old town, to the quaint city of Macau and unique macanese culture.

That means more money from desperate people with pathological gambling in the pockets of the mafia.

What about organised crime, massive drug trade, erosion of labour rights or breaking tobacco laws?

We don't need those stupid huge resorts to have fun in Europe, just we can get enough of it in our human beautiful cities.

With or without a Vegas people are gambling.
bet-at-home.com AG
Europe accounts for half of the world's gambling market. 20 billion US dollars every year. If a European Vegas had to be done, it shouldn't be in an existing city of course. No city could afford that anyway. More like a gambling paradise for tourists close to a big tourist city, in the middle of nowhere or in an island.
And again, you don't need casinos to see the negative aspects you described. Should we close all the night clubs as well for example ?

And cali3448893 we, Europe, gave the world the world wide web, democracy and penicillin. You, North America, can keep disneyland, Bieber and Vegas
So you gave the world a type of government, sounds odd to me, we gave you the internet not the web, the light bulb, airplane and please its not like we ask you guys to be obssed with are crappy celebrities, and please don't include us with canada, one thing we can say is that canada and america's economy is much better than europe. Also if you gave us democracy how come you guys dont even use it?

I do not think casinos alone will attract enough people. Las Vegas is now the EDM/DJ capital of the U.S. Young people flock there to party, not to gamble all their money away.

Eurovegas is such a cheesy name. They would have to change that.

I think you know that this post is completely fallacious, without me having to explain to you why.

I'm not american but this post is spot on, some Europeans like to pretend america only contributed fast food and talentless celebrities to the world, truth Is the us probably has more inventions and indeed Nobel peace prize winners in the modern era than any other nation.
