Kim Jong-un is justifying the 3rd nuclear test claiming that the nuclear development would open doors to paradise. This all a lie. The North Korean administration has been claiming to turn the country into a paradise for over 65 years. However, there was nobody in North Korea within the 65 years who would have thought that they were living in a paradise. Since, North Korea found itself lagging behind its capitalist counterpart, they were desperate to find leverage over the other. The solution they found was nuclear weapon development.

North Korea may have gained some leverage in negotiating with the international community through the nuclear development, but they are far from making North Korea into paradise. The Soviet Union did not collapse because it was devoid of nuclear weapons. North Korea should learn from history and get their priorities straightened out by taking care of the starving people of North Korea.

The North Korean government consists of those who are dumber than dirt. Which, by the way, is all that the North Korean people have to eat nowadays.

NK is run by a bunch of criminals. Too bad their people can't do something to put an end to their dictator.

Mr. Cloud, why do you keep lying to us? From your OWN link:

"Without specifically referring to the nuclear test, Jon said North Korea had recently taken a "resolute step for self-defence", which he described as "strong counter-actions to a foreign aggressor".

So, who is threatening whom?

Why don't you ever come back and defend your lies? The word "paradise" does not occur anywhere in the link. You completely made that up. How stupid do you think we are?

Moderator, how long are you going to let Suncloud keep using City-Data as his own personal blog site of unsupported opinions without ever entering into any forum discussion about his opinions?

As a Chinese I understand what they are doing.

China did the same: they developed nuclear weapons when China was dirty poor. Soon after that, they befriended the west and opened their market.

Had China opened to the west before developing nuclear weapons, they would never be allowed to do so.

I don't believe this is true. The only thing that stopped China from being open to the wests markets was China herself. Sabre-rattling and the self-induced paranoia (of anyone who wasn't communist) was no way to make friends.

You misunderstood it.
I mean, if China opened itself too early, the west would not allow it to develop nuclear weapons.

From the late 19th century until the revolution of 1911 China was known as "the sick man of Asia". It took 70 years for her to get back on her feet and the recovery is remarkable considering all the obstacles China has faced. For most 70 years is a long time but in China it's a drop of water in a barrel of water. A great part of the recovery stems from the fact that she was able to keep the Western powers from colonizing the country completely and finally getting rid of the foreign intruders. A job well done.
