Which 10 countries do you think currently lead global world affairs (including economy, military, cultural, social impact)?

I would say they are:
United States
China
Russia
India
Japan
Germany
United Kingdom
France
Brazil
Italy

Although not a country per se but I would still include the UAE before countries like India or Italy.

Hmm... going by continent:

Africa:
I’m not sure any. Egypt and South Africa are on outer end, but probably outside looking in.

Asia:
-China (definitely)
-India (almost definitely)
-Japan (almost definitely)
-Saudi Arabia (possibly)
-South Korea (possibly)
-Turkey (possibly)
-Israel (outside looking in, but possible)
————
-Indonesia (potentially in a few decades)

Europe:
-United Kingdom (definitely)
-Germany (definitely)
-Russia (almost definitely)
-France (quite possible)
-Italy (possible)
-Switzerland (possible)
-Belgium (possible)
-Netherlands (possible)

North America:
United States (definitely)
Mexico (possibly)
Canada (possibly)

Oceania:
-Australia (possible)

South America:
-Brazil (Quite Possibly)
-Argentina (Possibly)

Overall:
-United States
-United Kingdom
-Germany
-Russia
-China
-Japan
-India
-France
-Brazil (thought hard about Mexico here though)
-Saudi Arabia (thought hard about South Korea here. As more alternative sources of fuel become available, this one will fall out of group I think)

Italy leads the countries of early industrialization in the length and breadth of its decline, relative and absolute, and makes Japan look dynamic. I would put Spain over Italy, but it doesn't matter.

Brazil continues to trip over its own shoelaces every ten steps. I would put Columbia over Brazil, but it doesn't matter.

Ten is too many. Maybe five or six.

US, China, Germany economically and then some for sure, India has the potential to join that group, Russia and UK continue to be pesky but for very different reasons, and the UK could improve once it definitively frees itself from the shackles of German-Franco EU.

Honorable mention, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Israel e compagnia bella provide grist for the global war mill.

1. USA
2. China
3. UK
4. Germany
5. France
6. Japan
7. Russia
8. Brazil
9. India
10. Mexico

Thats more or less the ranking I would give. I personally think Russias global influence is the most overblown. They are overshadowed in Europe and east Asia, they are only a regional power today. Without UN veto power it would already be out of the top 10. India is in a tough position as well, China is the global power next door and the Islamic states all do their own thing, India will skip being a regional power and will go straight to a global power as they push their influence around the globe instead of their region.
