Obama is usually considered black.

Yes. But at least in the US, such individuals tend to consider themselves black and are perceived as black by others.
They can receive the "benefits" (affirmative actions) as pure black people and suffer the same kind of discriminations. They tend to marry blacks too.

I don't know about London.

A white Hispanic is not the same as a simple white? I mean, if I move to US which one would be my group? (I am white Spaniard caucasian)

If you are from Spain, you are "white" not Hispanic according to US definition.
And for your interest, Brazilians may be "Hispanic" though they don't speak Spanish.

Tips: it depends on whether you are from a "developing country".

Mixed race is sort of a bizarre category when you think of it though? I mean what does someone someone half-black half white, have with someone half-white/half south-asian? who would both qualify as mixed race on the census.

Mixed race is just people who have more than one race in them. So someone half white half chinese will be mixed race half lack half asian etc...

Sydney
Australian 27.4%
English 23%
Chinese 7.9%
Irish 7.6%
Scottish 5.6%
Italian 4.3%
Lebanese 3.4%
Greek 2.9%

Should also add, Australia lets you nominate two ancestries, so the total number of responses is always greater than the number of people.

Normally there are about 25% more reponses than people, so for example from the above the actual english portion of sydneys population , would be 23% of 125% or 18.4%.

France chooses not to collect data on the racial make up of its population, so there's no data on this topic for you to find.
