I didn't see North America even in the running, but I guess if you're gonna define it that way .
Plz our towns here in America are full of mexicans, asians, indians, arabs. Vancouver is the most asian city out of asia and Toronto has the most ethnics per capita than any other city. NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Miami, Philly....all Australia has is Sydney and Melbourne, Europe is just London and South America is parts of Venezuela, Columbia, Brazil more specifically Rio and Sao.

Just to clear something up for everyone. The Australian Continent, is a collection of 14 Countries, whos population is roughly split 60% European, 30% Native Pacific Islander/Aboriginal/Maori etc, 8% Asian and 2% Other, and is home to well over 1000 spoken languages.

Well I see things more as in indigenous cultures...how can you compare N.America to Asia, which has cultures as diverse as Arabia, Persia, India, Indonesia, China, Japan, Asian Russia, Central Asia to a place dominated by white Anglo culture?

It depends how you mesure "diversity" and how you define "race" and "ethnicity"
Africa is said to the the most genetically diverse continent. Even sub-saharian Africa, where most people are classified as "black" (and as such thought by many a very genetically close), has more genetic distance between the populations. As such it is obvious that the "black race" doesn't exist (as any "race" btw) since many "blacks" are actually closer to many people classified as non-black than to some other "blacks"...
Also, it is known that sub-saharian Africa has also a huge linguistic diversity among its native languages.
South America has a different kind of diversity. It is the land of mestizaje (race-mixing): most of this continent people is a mix of people from three continents: America, Europe and Africa; plus some Asians. The cultures of most of south/central American countries is a mix (with different proportions following the countries) of latin European/indigenous and African cultures.
North America has a more "salad bowl" kind of diversity. This area continues to have a majority of European-descending people; the people from other continents are minorities. This might be changing with latin-American immigration in US.

This is all well and good, but this is the argument of local diversity (there is a lot of diversity through immigration in each metro and city) versus a larger regional or continental diversity (immediate surroundings of any particular city isn't all that diverse but there's a world of difference compared to cities in the next province/state or country over).
One continent is not the most ethnically and racially diverse, ethnically Africa get it hands down, racially, going by the social construct of races it's probably South America.
Has to be a toss up between North America and Australia - Whites, blacks, Islanders, Asians, Indians, Arabs, etc, can all be found in one city in any of those two continents. Whereas, in other continents, these races live in their own regions/countries.
Europe is roughly 90% Caucasian (multicultural London is too small to lower the percentages). Asia has three kinds of people - orientals to the east, south Asians and Middle Eastern people to the west (pretty much three 'races' isolated from each other). Latin America is virtually made up of Amerindians and Europeans of Spanish/Portuguese descent (perhaps the least diverse continent racially?). Africa is 85% black, 20% Arab and 5% white (just a rough estimate mind you).
