I love a British accent on a man, but a Cockney accent turns me off, big time.

My high school sweetheart was from Houston, and even 40 plus years later I melt when I hear that Texas drawl. My second choice would be "Average Brit" because I have a crush on Colin Firth.

I think that "seductive" accent comes with an "attractive" man. An ugly ( outside or inside) man with an accent is just ... an ugly man with an accent - nothing more

Second place - British (not upper crust though) and third place - Irish.
the only british accent which is charming is the upper class one like that of rex harrison , roger moore , david niven

while working class british accents have charechter , their pretty raw

Depends, plenty of "working class" Brits who speak well.

i know that , i like how michael caine and sean connery speak

im refering to accent which chime with the thread in question , a cockney or glasgow accent has earthy charechter but its not how prince charming speaks and apparently thats what the ladies want

Nah. Too girly and flouncy in my opinion. Nothing against the French but the accent does nothing for me at all. Now I could see how a guy might like the sound of a French girl. To me its a very feminine sort of language - very soft at the edges.

Now that I think about it I love the sound of an Irishman too - very lyrical.

To me, the "cut glass" British accent as spoken by royalty sounds a bit affected and can sometimes be hard for my American ears to understand.
