There is kind of a connection.... say something positive about the United States (lets say natural scenery) and the one who has insecurities will randomly go off topic and start talking about obesity and/or violent crime. plus the over exaggerate it and will make it seem like you have to wear a bullet proof vest if you plan on visiting.

That doesn't mean that negative stereotypes are by definition a result of insecurity though. This kind of reasoning is rather childish, like a 12-year-old girl screaming "you're just jealous!" when I say I don't like Justin Bieber

Yes i know, but the people who gather every negative story they can find of Justin Bieber to make him look like a bad person probably has insecurities towards him. if you don't like him why even look up info about him just ignore him and pretend he doesnt exist.

Maybe we are the Justin Bieber of the world ..... alot of haters but dang look at all those views hes got on Youtube.

OK, what is the purpose of this thread/poll? Because so far I can see we are far off topic ( what topic, anyway??)
Decide what you want to discuss, and stay on topic, please.
I also agree about the many stereotypes here. Looks like the USA is the most insecure country: just look at the threads - who does not love us, who hate us, who is insecure toward us, etc.

I think they are even insecure about themselves. They must stay up all night wondering when they are going to blow themselves off the planet.

Well there is alot of bashing towards the United States, you can't expect everyone to just ignore it.
The USA is a sick society.

Alot of times thing like this happen; American says something good about his/her country... people respond by going off topic and saying "Oh well you have a high violent crime rate!"
Person from another country says something good about his/her country.... people respond by saying "awesome! i wish i could visit (insert country here)!"

and what is the point of having a thread about Homeless tent cities in America on the World forum? just the typical bash usa thread of the week?

^^^ So, you just decided to continue that trend? Most of those threads are created by Americans. I don't see threads created by Australians, Canadians, Europeans , Africans... asking over and over again who does not love them and why...

Well some people who live in probably the most hated country in the world are going to get curious and ask questions.

Mexico and Canada are countries. Europe is a continent with many countries. Some European countries are pro-USA and some not so much. It would be more accurate to list some individual countries in Europe. I know that countries like the UK and Ireland feel quite a connection to the US and have a very good relationship.
