When they discovered these large heads in Mexico in the 19th century it naturally sparked investigations if Africans had sailed to the Western Hemisphere in some distant past long before Columbus.

Most scientists now believe that there was no advanced civilization in the distant past, but some people simply walked across the Bering Straight along with everyone else when the water was lower. There are a number of different kinds of people who live in the borders of present day China.

There is even a group of people who may be a different species

Most of traditional China did not extend as far to the West, and those people are ethnically very different.

^^ Right, China has never been a mono-ethnic nation in history. Some theories suggest that Chinese civilization came from the middle east.

Another interesting map:

In China you are considered lower class if you are darker skin because it meant you worked in the fields
and were considered a peasant.

If you had an education you worked in an office and weren't so tanned.

It's not so bad today as it was years before but it still seen that way in China by many.

In NYC the young american born chinese kids don't care about that but their parents who were born in China walk around with umbrellas during the summer. Used to protect their skin from sun damage and part of it is old school chinese thinking
of the above.

PS: Yes I have Chinese family ( nieces and nephews ) members but they are American born and one of their
parents were born in China.
