Well that would be great of course, but as you know it's all about money...and culture. Canada has an image of being boring, which I find weird.
Also, and a lot of Canadians complain about this, that too much of our Canadian T.V. and movies seem to try and be focused on being really Canadian instead of just being. Music not so much.
That said there are some great Canadian movies out there.

Like I said, I think the cable networks will be the key. Another show like Degrassi (but targeted toward an older audience) that is just made in Canada but just is like you said could easily be picked up by ABC Family if it's any good or Nickelodeon again. It's going to start with shows and younger to youngish adult audiences first. the movies will follow once this becomes established...well maybe. Music wise, Canada still appreciates real Dance Music which is nice.

Have you not heard of the Beatles? I wager Beatlemania in the states was a lot larger in their time than MJ has ever been.

And many people (myself included- American and in my 30's) still love the Beatles today.

The world can have him...he's just a product, not a talent.

Its pretty obvious you haven't watched the documentary Never Say Never.

I may not like his music but i'll admit he is pretty talented.
