Figured it was only fair to make another one:

USA:
Massapequa
Assateague
Chincoteague
Snohomish
Duwamish
Nisqually
Apalachicola
Texarkana
Montpillier

Germany:
Dusseldorf
Deggendorf

Netherlands:
Rotterdam
Amsterdam

Belgium:
Zeebrugge
Charleroi

Mexico:
Aguascalientes
Hermosillo
Tehuantepec
Veracruz

Japan:
Okinawa
Nagasaki
Basically anything Japanese sounds nice.

You like Rotterdam? I think it sounds awful, the "rot" in the beginning.

I like names that are easy to spell and pronounce and I gravitate towards the "Latin" (sounding) names. For example:

Monaco
Florence
Geneva
Marseille
Málaga
Valencia
Amadora
Milan
L'Aquila

Etc.

This thread made me recall a list I compiled of one syllable major cities about 100,000 population and greater around the World. Feel free to add others I may have missed.

Bern
Bonn
Brest
Minsk
Perth
Pinsk
Prague
Rome

I live in Leeds, and don't like it at all. It's just one syllable.
