strange question. the eu-countries have nothing in common, besides that they happen to be on the european penninsula. you could as well said u.s vs asia or u.s vs africa. there is poor, undeveloped hellholes (albania, romania, bulgaria, moldova), filthy rich first-world countries (norway, schwitzerland) and anything in between. OK, not all of these countries are members of the eu, but you get the point.
