To help mitigate Venezuela’s heinous murder rate, Maduro wants to crack down on… soap operas
posted at 5:01 pm on January 20, 2014 by Erika Johnsen

My first reaction was – You gotta be kidding me? Then, I realized the source and it kinda made sense. The way leftist look at everything. Will it be imported to the USA?

Earlier this month, a former Miss Venezuela and her ex-husband were on their way to vacationing in the mountains of Venezuela when they were carjacked and murdered by a gang of marauding highway bandits — and it was only by chance that their five-year-old daughter in the backseat suffered only a non-fatal gunshot wound in her leg. Such incidents, along with robberies and kidnappings, are pretty common in the country of 29 million in which, by one estimate, one person is violently killed every 21 minutes. The ‘official’ homicide rate provided by the national government for 2013 put the number of deaths at around 39 per 100,000 inhabitants, but non-government organizations claim that the real rate is actually double that for a grand total of 24,000 murders# just last year.

They probably got the idea from listening to a Liberal in Portland or New York talking.

Nah, seems like some folks can never resist an opportunity to try and cram every single problem in the world into some kinda simplistic "box" that demonizes either one side or the other ('Lib-ruhls vs Conservatives", Black vs White, "Socialists vs the Free Market", "Christian" vs everyone else, etc.)!

So much easier to just repeat black & white "dogma", than being bothered with messy 'Facts' or "shades of gray"!

Do you really know anything about socialism? Because liberals are anathema to socialists. You might want to read up on socialism, and what socialists call "neo-liberalism". You have the internet at your fingertips. Good luck.

Nothing coming from Maduro causes surprise to me. He is even worst than Chávez. I would not call what happens in Venezuela as "socialism", but as "stupidism".

I feel so bad for that country.

I have a lot of friends from there, and also a lot of students. The stories you hear are just saddening.
