Both the rebels and the current government in Syria are just different types of the same cat. Neither will allow what we in the west call "freedoms" to their people or women and neither will just forgive, embrace, and welcome their former opponents, no matter which group eventually wins....if you can call anything that results from that mess a "win".

You are not saying anything I don't agree with!

Children, innocent children, are being murdered brutally daily. It is sickening that we aren't stepping up efforts to stop that. Look at the Ukraine response for example - far more strong by the EU.

If we let these crimes against children carry on after half a decade has already passed - I am sickened for humanity tbh.

What do you propose to do? Both sides are bigots! If we send in troops it will just cause more blood and chaos. There also won't be a happy ending. I also disagree about Ukraine. We haven't used any sanctions, we haven't moved any aircraft carriers, we aren't preparing to bomb any sites in Ukraine. On top of that, the culture in Ukraine is so much more civilized and there is a much clear good guy, bad guy where as Syria is just bigots all around. It's a sad situation there, but there is nothing we can do.

You do know Syria is one of the most diverse countries on earth right? You do know this? They have lived side by side for centuries. Syria started off the exact same way as Ukraine but the protests were brutally put down.
