why is italy, Canada, and the UK on the G8? CHINA, INDIA, BRAZIL, JAPAN should be there!
CONCLUSION: the G8, like NATO is nothing more than another American FUNDED organization where the US uses its b-i-t-c-h Europe, and its tiny sidekicks (Canada, Australia) to guarantee its super power status against its its increasingly powerful rivals Russia, China, India etc.

You said those countries in capitals were not in the G8, and Russia is in capitals, and please don't go and edit the post like you did with one not so long ago where you understated Australia's population by 33%.

The Crimean crisis will probably lead to Russia being expelled from G8 membership. The question is, which country, if any, will replace Russia?
Some possible candidates include:
Australia
Brazil
China
India
South Korea
Mexico
Saudi Arabia
South Africa
Turkey
Brazil, China, India, and South Africa are BRICS countries with Russia and have very close relationship with Russia, so they are unlikely to take on this role.
Australia, South Korea, Mexico, and Turkey are both OECD members and major economies, so they definitely qualify for G8 membership.
