New World countries can be very diverse because they were settled by different colonial European powers but also different sources of immigration.

But is there anything ALL New World countries share in common that make them different from the Old World. Are there any things you can point to, where Patagonia, Jamaica, Quebec and Texas share that Old Worlders lack?

From reading old threads, one thing nearly all New Worlders have in common is a strong emphasis on birthright citizenship. The map in this Wikipedia article shows how strong the trend is. Jus soli - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is there any other thing that Western Hemispherans or denizens of the Americas have in common?
