Not that the British do and have to care , just enlightening those who are not so familiar with Singapore about us.
You seem to hate the UK for some reason. Why is that?

And those are your preferences. Do you really need to keep interjecting threads (including one in the UK forum) with your blatant negativity? You just sound bitter.

Over in Singapore people don't care about stars and artistes when they have aged ..

Only the young ones are popular and do well .. But of course .. There are exceptions . But very rare

I would say yes. The Rolling Stones tour here in Australia was sold out in seconds. You just couldn't get a ticket if your life depended on it and many people would have done anything to get tickets. Unfortunately with Mick Jagger's girlfriend's untimely death the tour had to be cancelled but they have said they will be back in October.

If Led Zeppelin decided they would tour today people would do anything to see them as well. Of course John Bonham is no longer with us but even if his son stood in people would pay any amount of money to see them.

Legends like the Rolling Stones will never have problems selling out arenas around the world.

Frankly you make them sound like they have very little knowledge of music. The Singapore population by your account sound like they have only recently discovered western music and have very basic knowledge of the history of modern music.

I suppose you don't know who Jimi Hendrix is?

People tend to be very loyal to the music they grew up with. And they often teach their kids about that music as well.

Not only do famous old artists get "good" opportunities, but they can literally make a fortune on a single tour.

Most of the money in music nowadays is in touring anyway. That's how it works in the United States and probably in the rest of the western world as well.
