As someone famous once said, on est tous l'Indien de quelqu'un d'autre.

Yes, many anglicisms in France sound funny to us, like ''footing'' for jogging, "pressing" for dry cleaners, ''baskets'' for sneakers...

Luckily our languages (Finnish and French) are quite anal in not using anglicisms. It sounds terrible in my ears when those Swedes, Norwegians and Danes adopt pretty everything from English. Gambling is gambling in Danish, like "gembling". Such an easy word to translate. YOU'RE DESTROYING YOUR LANGUAGES. (Though they suck already.)

Except for some words, like pädi. Jeez. (A tablet computer.)

One of the place that surprised me the most when viewing it in Google Maps: Valparaiso, kinda reminds me of San Francisco

They look pretty terrible, don't they.

Btw the last one isn't really countryside. It's just a park/bikeway. A random metro stop is probably just half a mile away.

No wonder you bash your country constantly, as those are hideous views.
