This street is one of the most expensive in Taipei, but the small alleys are more or less the same as those ugliness you encountered several posts above.

Or this one.

It's pretty far away from the city center, actually it's in the mountains, those that live here are definitely rich.
The second one kind of looks like it could be in Japan.

Yeah definitely.

The Pasila area in Helsinki was built in two phases, the first one in the early 60's with the ideals of Le Corbusier, Eastern Pasila, and it's hideous: https://www.google.fi/maps/@60.19894...qnvXDoeYTw!2e0

The Western Pasila was the last slum of Helsinki, and it was rebuilt in the mid 80's as the "critisism of the suburbs": https://www.google.fi/maps/@60.19856...OzR9-fJU7g!2e0

Though it doesn't look very attractive it was a reaction, and as I've lived there, it is an extremely functioning part of the city. It combined commerce and residental, and the Finnish BBC still have their headquarters there.
They all look really nice imo. Clean, spacious, and quite green.

Different viewpoints then. Eastern Pasila is a terrible example of city planning, as it separates pedestrians from automobiles. You have only the trams and cars at street level, and the pedestrians above. And concrete, concrete and concrete.

This is what's happening on street level: https://www.google.fi/maps/@60.20137...gN_Tjs7W9A!2e0

Im surprised that Bangladesh is covered so well. Here is where I had a filling replaced by a very good dentist:

For all if its massive population, Bangladesh is a beautiful, quiet and unspoiled country.
