Which cities are particularly associated with the LGBT community, have large communities, pride parades, are important to gay culture?

I'd say New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Toronto, Sydney, are a few that stand out.

Within Asia Taipei would probably be the ***** hub, the first place to hold a pride parade and the most liberal city in Asia. In Latin America maybe BA or Rio?

I don't think of Bangkok as that much of a gay hub, aside from it's association with ladyboys and the gay scene which is just part of the larger sex scene.

In the US, the main gay hubs are supplemented by gay resort towns (Provincetown, Palm Springs, Key West, and a few smaller ones).

Likewise, in Europe you have Sitges, Mykonos, Gran Canaria, etc.
