I already know Vienna and Brussels, so if I had to chose now a new one it would be Boston. People tell me it's nice and not very popular as it worths.

For nature, Vancouver, but history plus a bit of nature, Boston, for architecture/culture/history, Vienna. Brussels would be last on the list.

In order......

Brussels, Vienna, Boston, Vancouver.

Vancouver seems a little vanilla to me.

Visiting:
Boston
Brussels
Vancouver

Never been to Vancouver, but it seems to be a bit generic. Big city life... nice mountains and the sea, though. I have lots of mountains here in Austria and I'm not a huge fan of the sea... That leaves only the city. Have been to Boston and that one seems to be a lot more enjoyable.
Brussels on #2, because I'd love to take a look behind the political scenes of the European Union. Seems to be rather dull otherwise.

Living (long term):
Vienna
Vancouver
Boston
Brussels

Vienna is just a great city. Wouldn't mind to live in Vancouver or Boston either. Brussels? Meh...

Living (short term... 5-10y after my studies):
Boston
Brussels
Vancouver
Vienna

Boston would be really cool, Brussels only ranks higher than Vancouver, because there are simply more opportunities in my field

I say Vienna. There's nothing to see in Vancouver or Boston and I suspect Brussels will be boring.

All those cities are cities I'd love to visit or in the case of Boston...again..

But out of all of them I'd pick Vancouver it has a bustling downtown and wilderness isn't too far away either.
