Thats just it. IMO we don't really have a "problem"... more of an "issue'. Yes there are immigrants (most of which have helped boost our economy massivley), and yes there are illegals, but so what.. don't all wealthy nations have illegal immigrants? Isn't this just part of being super wealthy?
Anyway, there are far greater problems in society than immigration. I think we should start by adjusting most of our "news" sources to "downright bigoted crappy gossip fearmongering"!!
Anyway, back to the OP. Europe has no "immigration" policy. Each country decides its own. The UK is adopting a much more right wing ruthless approach in only considering immigrants from EU member states that qualify under a points program. We have so far been inadequate in helping the needy, and supporting people who actually need it. All of our attention has been redirected to the possibility of a terrorist attack (TM).
