One word 100% accurate answer to this thread title: Norway.

Norwegian Americans exhibit the same behaviors.

Right, Ghengis?

I was making a point about stereotyping that Mac15 does. The average American makes the statement "God Bless America" as many times the average Englishman(women) utters "God save the Queen".

We just don't go around saying "God Save The Queen"! When have you ever seen that?! It just happens to be our national anthem, that's all!

But when you sing the National anthem don't you utter God save the queen?

Neither do I go around and wish everyone with God save America. It is only used rarely when there is a large gathering like a funeral for a fallen soldier and then the phrase is uttered. The way it is made out by other posters is like we get to use it at every opportunity. Typical stereotyping of Americans.

BTW, I wonder when you are going to change it to God save the King. The old lady seems to be going on and on with the "saving" you guys are uttering every day

No, I can't remember the last time I sang "God Save The Queen" to be honest.

Our Queen will be around for a long time yet, don't you worry. Her own mother didn't die until she was gone 100!
