What country that you have never lived in, have you seen most extensively and most thoroughly as a traveler/tourist?

I think for me, it might be Romania. There are 41 administrative counties, and I think I've been in all but about 4 or 5 of them, but I can't find a road map that shows county borders. I've been in 13 of the 16 German states, missing 3 in the former DDR. I've been in all but one of the Mexican states (missing Baja-Sur), but I think I can also disqualify that, since it is a country I've lived in. Same for Canada and Chile. .

I try to see quite a bit of each country I've been to. In almost every country I've been to, I've seen a fair bit of the country, more than just one place and traveled around by road/train.etc.

I've been to 17 states in the US, from LA to Boston.

In Italy saw the major sights, like Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Amalfi coast, Assisi, Venice, Verona, Milan, Lake Como, Genoa, Florence, Sienna.

Seen much of Southern England

Went from HCMC to Hanoi, seeing the main tourist spots

Saw most of the main big sights in Sri Lanka.

Beijing, Xian, Chongqing, Yangtze, Fujian, Hong kong

among others

France, I guess. We once went on a coach trip from the north of France - starting in Calais - through the Pyrenees and to Barcelona. We stopped off in many locations along the way.

Either France or Canada. I've been to every part of (continental) France except the Southwest and Brittany. In Canada I've been to every major city except Calgary.
