What our some stereotypes of your country?

One for America would probably be that we are all stupid.

Well for the US, I would say that we all speak like this 'like OMG! like i like never knew that! like omg!"
and that we are all bush lovers and don't know anything about the world. I support bush but either way...
That were all white... I'm not white...
as for other counties..
china: we all eat dogs and cats.
we sell each other out for money
we're greety (I hate this one!!!)

mexico: we're all *******s who mow lawns and build stuff (this is litterally what people think, its stupid...)
we are all brown and have black hair, well this may be ture for me, but thats cause i'm only half mexican and half Chinese. my mother is mexican and isbrown with black hair but some people look dead white and you wouldn't be able to tell they are from mexico...
we all play that mariachi stuff at the highest volume posible

on the US from a Taiwanese perspective:
-we're all fat, blue eyed blond haired
-we mainly eat bread and beef
-we're all racist towards blacks
-we're a violent country
-we all live in the suburbs
-"white people" are paler than them

on Taiwan from a US perspective:
-we make cheap toys
-we're in Thailand
-we speak Taiwanese, as opposed to a dialect of Chinese
-we're Communist
-we're governed by China
-we eat dog

You say "we" as in white Americans, right? Do they not consider blacks American? I suppose in much of the world an American is still seen as a white person with northern European physical characteristics. I've even heard people asking if a person is a "real American" having white northern European as a norm.

I also lived in France for a year, so I guess could say that people think that all french are snobby, strict, and eat disgusting food.

uhh... its complicated.
My grandpa fled to Taiwan to flee the commies(so I am more Mainland Chinese then i am Taiwan). We are technically under the PRC, but many places consider Taiwan a separate country. Taiwanese is a Chinese dialect called Fukien/Hokkien which is also spoken in mainland china. Xiamen is the most prominent mainland city that speak 'Taiwanese'. Taiwan is the Republic of China... When the Communist threw the ROC off the mainland they went to Taiwan where they are today. sometimes i consider myself Taiwanese over Chinese just because of my ancestor political posturing, they knew Chiang Kai Shek so they were STRONGLY STONGLY anti communist, which is why I'm pretty conservative today . i consider myself Han Chinese but i switch from Taiwanese to Chinese when i feel like the PRC has displeased me.

I think that's what most think of when they say American, since most expatriots in Taiwan are of northern European descent. But they do know that there are other ethnic groups. I was under the impression the people I talked to thought any non-black American was prejudiced towards blacks.

I don't know if they have a separate passport for Taiwan.. I forget.

The PRC does have a separate passport for people from Taiwan. I went with a Taiwanese group and got confused when the leader asked us to prepare our TaiBaoZheng, or that special passport that only ROC citizens need.
