Yes, I know most Taiwanese don't see themselves as Chinese, and I'm Pro Independent Taiwan, actually more pro-One china under the ROC. The fact is its like not calling someone from north Korea 'Korean' because they're not from south Korea. They'll get all in your face and get pissed but at the end of the day they're Chinese. I mean i go to chines school in order to learn Chinese, ironically i find both Chinese and Taiwanese there. I mean I am Asian, and that might have something to do with it, but most Taiwanese people consider themselves Chinese too. Anyways Asians tend to cluster so they'll tear down there boundaries and form 'an alliance' because they are fellow 'han'/ 'Chinese' / whatever... Taiwan need to get nukes, it would displease the US, but its not like Taiwan is a country we can't trust.

I recently came across something that talks about the drawbacks that the country can face because of foreign buyers. The article said that, it is bad as later the foreigners will gain control on the U.S. economy. Also, in time they will use this control to systematically reduce the efficiency of the host economy. Though on the bottom line it concluded that both assumptions are false. What do you all think about it??

I grew up going back and forth to Tucson as i grew up in a Mexican city just 4 hours away, it was practically my other home back in my younger years. Myabe its not the most attractive city in the US but i just like it.
and what not to say about wyoming?? i fell in love with the Gillette area...

It is interesting to me that so many seem to only have awareness of the east and west coasts and some highly publicized sites like Arizona or Vegas. Do some research and you will find so many better places for quality of life and cost of living that have the weather and lifestyle advantages of, say, NYC or San Francisco. Check out Georgia. Atlanta if you like big and places like Peachtree City of you like leisure and Covington if you like small towns near a lot of activity and St. Simon's for the beach. Check out Colorado for beauty and the outdoors and glorious nature. Check out Alabama for the beach at Gulf Shores and Birmingham for big city amenities without the cost and hectic lifestyle. Fairhope, Al., is charming. Check out the national parks and the Great Lakes and the Rockies and the quaint towns of Maine and Pennsylvania. Get an atlas.

I'm still cerious though so you can keep on answering. I actually heard Houston is the big rage among Pakistanis.

I'm originally from germany and have been in the US for about 15 years and I can fully understand why most people gravitate towards the above mentioned places. I have paid my dues in Houston and San Antonio as well as Baton Rouge. Couldn't wait to get out of those places. Very hard for a cultured/diverse person who has seen the world to live in. I have met wonderful people in all place, but live is too short to not live in a place you truly enjoy.
