Many brits move to orlando or around that area and open pubs or fish & chip shops. I would move to any of those cities listed. Chicago is on the top of my list to visit as I've never been and it looks amazing.

Being from Germany I wouldn't want to move in any big city at all. It doesn't mean only in the US but in general moreover I wouldn't move abroad because my roots are just too deep.
However I'd like to visit the following cities in the US:
New York (of course)
LA
San Francisco
Carmel
Savannah
Atlanta
Las Vegas (just to have seen it)
and many many more. Unfortunately I will never have enough vacation time to be able to visit everything I'd like to see...

How does that got to do with you being from Germany? There are large cities in Germany too.
How come Carmel? I had to look up where it's located.

Carmel is amazing. Clint Eastwood used to be the mayor there. Carmel is an extremely beautiful little town close to the ocean. Extremely pricey. You can't buy a home there for under 1.2 million.

Yeah, either Florida or someplace damp and miserable like Seattle or someplace that they think is cultured, like Boston.

A lot of Chinese people in Taiwan think of places like the Bay Area, LA, or New York. They know of Las Vegas, but I don't think many think of living there. Most have no idea of where the other 47 states are or what they're like.

God no. Not me ( OK I am French but have lived here for over 19 years now so consider myself kinda British). I would rather have my eyeballs tattooed than move to Florida ( even the Keys which I actually like out of season).
New England or Northern California maybe, if it had universal healthcare and decent social benefits but Florida is my idea of hell . Though you are right a lot of British people do think Florida is Heaven on earth !
