Some of the most magnificent sand dunes in the United States are not along an ocean but, rather, next to some of our "inland seas"--the Great Lakes. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore along Lake Michigan has some of the best sand dunes you'll find anywhere. Some plummet several hundred feet down to the crystal clear waters below.

There are several beautiful Seaside sand dunes along the coast of Oregon, USA.
Florence, Reedsport and Coos Bay, Oregon.

They allow people to drive vehicles and play on many areas of the dunes. Some of the areas are for walking only.
They are big and beautiful.
I wish I had a picture..

California has one area seaside but I've never been to those.

Wow, thank you very much for all those pictures of so many beaches with dunes!

Looking at all those places make me feel at home! They all look so similar to the dunes in my home state here in Brazil!

Here are links for some pictures of beaches with sand dunes in Ceará:

Cumbuco, Jericoacoara, Canoa Quebrada, Trairi, are some of the places with sand dunes here, but there are others.

But the most incredible part of the "Dunes Coast" of Brazil is surely the Lençois Maranhenses National Park, in the state of Maranhao:

Scotland has beautiful dunes of Special Scientific Interest, indeed some of the most beautiful in the world which should be under the protection of the National Trust, Scottish Wildlife Trust and other such groups. Sadly Donald Trump has made a mess of many of the beautiful dunes in Aberdeenshire by building a golf complex over them, and it was all happily encouraged by that fat nat Alex Salmond.

The development ignored the wishes of many local people whose families had lived there hundreds of years and all Trump did was bully them and threaten them with legal action, whilst Salmond approved Donald Trump's golf complex plan over the heads of local planners and against local opinion, whilst up to cosying up to Trump and big corporations whilst ignoring Scotland's Heritage, the environment and the wishes of the average local people. Scotland already has a vast number of superb world famous gold courses, so was it really necessary to built a complex on some of the most amazing dunes in the world, in order the wealthy golfers can jet in on private aircraft, and whilst ignoring the wishes of the people who actually live in the area, who have been treat badly by Trump and his cronies in many cases.

In the Lençois Maranhenses?

I think most of the area of the National Park is protected, and only in a few parts of it they allow dirt bikes and buggys.

In the dunes of Ceara, buggys (and SUVs like the Troller) are very common, but in some areas they are not allowed.

Oregon Dunes are amazing...they are not big at all, but location (Pacific Ocean to the west, the Coastal Range and dense forest/temperate jungle) and vegetation on the dunes are incredible. Pics from my personal stash below...
