No. It is a device that uses an electrical burst to attemtp to restart a person's heart if it has stopped beating.
Ok. That makes it a bit better. Phew.
Well, nevertheless, never seen one. Apparently the police, firemen and ambulances have them, and also qualified security guards can use one if the mall or hotel has them. So in sight, no.
Ok, so if I understand correctly it's a device that tells the fatso if he/she's is on the verge of a heart attack and those devices exist in parks, cafes and parking garages so you can check yourself?
Wow. Oh Jesus christ. That is so sick. I'm beyond words. Truly, this is really really sick.
NO, definitely not any of those here. Never seen one, and never heard of this before. Wow.
It is only used in case of an emergency when someone's heart has stopped. Which could be a child, and adult, Sudden cardiac death can happen at any age. A few weeks ago it happened to a 9 year old in the bath, she died.
Kind of sad to relate this with being overweight. Lots of thin young people and athletes die from cardiac issues each year.

Yep. It's meant to be used by trained responders. You place the pads on the person's chest, then the AED analyzes their heartbeat and determines whether they need a shock.
I never knew any of this until I had to take a First Aid/CPR/AED class for a part-time position I'm considering. I never noticed them before, but now I do see them around occasionally.
Just because you don't see them does not mean they are not there.
They are everywhere.
if there are no signs and I don't know they are there how could I use one to help someone (I have BLS and ALS training)
Besides being able to see the machine I see many signs to help me know where the machines are located in France.
Without knowing their location they are useless to the public in general.
