Lol San Fransisco wins the vote, for some reason... i think there's many other cities in the pacific that deserve the title than any of the major city listed.

Like what? Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei? They're too 'eastern' looking and they have a lot of skyscrapers...I just don't see the resemblance.
There are central American cities and other 'cities' in the Pacific, but they are just too small in scale to be considered (LA, whilst large, doesn't look like Paris).
So, what were the cities that "deserved" the title?

Tokyo might just got the chances of getting the vote if they haven't been bombed back then, i was actually quiet surprised that it had so many European based architectures...
Shanghai have the French a concession in which basically is French Concession of the city with lots of French buildings complete with typical French wide sidewalks and shaddy trees, and they have the Bund which display lots of beautiful art deco architecture. But it does have too much "Eastern" look nowadays with lots of skyscraper, that basically kills the old city.
Nevertheless, for me the vote still goes to Papeete, capital of French Polynesia, just because its a French colony with French speaking people. It does have quiet some French colonial architecture in town as well.

Shanghai and Tokyo would've been good options I guess...
But Pacific Islands 'cities' (Papeete, Noumea) have that tropical outlook and low density buildings which look nothing like large cities in the likes of Paris.

But neither do Saigon, Bandung or cap francais back then, i would say they're just towns but they are still nicknamed Paris. Most of Paris has low density buildings compared to many major cities around the world, apart from La Defense, if you get what i mean.
I actually loved the tropical setting of a city with European building like those in the Carribean and South Americas, climate doesn't play role in my opinion.
Buenos Aires, Argentina..it is called little Paris. They also have couples dancing outside just like in Paris.
But Buenos Aires is not on the pacific
