The best non-urban city park system is the Denver Mountain Parks...it is very unique.
Echo Lake Park:

Summit Lake Park:

Red Rocks Park:

Lookout Mountains:

There are a few others, but they aren’t as stunning as the four above.

There is also Leach Botanical Garden, Mount Tabor Park, Keller Fountain Park, Peninsula Park Rose Garden, James Woodhill Park at Rocky Butte (best lookout spot in Portland...unfortunately it was cloudy the day I went up there), Columbia Park, South Park, and the list goes on...

Portland also has the best urban nature park is Forest Park...it is a huge chunk of temperate rain forest in Portland.
Portland has such beautiful parks. Should've had it on the poll.

I know that NYC, London and San Francisco all have beautiful parks and gardens. I can't really say about the other cities on the list.

Beijing should be there instead of Shanghai and I'd vote for it.

I can't fairly judge as I haven't been to most of these cities. I can vouch for London, a lot of green space and parks.. very beautiful.

I can also vouch for Amsterdam.. although it was freezing cold when I went, there are also some lovely parks there and I had a great time there
