That's not what the West traditionally means, it refers to the cultural descendants of the Western Roman Empire, so areas that are traditionally Catholic or Protestant. It has for centuries been contrasted with an East dominated by traditionally Orthodox Russia, which is mostly white, but definitely not "the West".

Under that definition Greece is part of the east, which most people actually include Greece into the western World. The West is based off of the Christian culture and base values.

It could also be thought of as a coalition of countries who oppose "evil" countries, mainly Russia

As opposed to the east

And places that don't follow abrahamic/western religion

Though sometimes it just means Asia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/East...cationAsia.svg

When I took a short cruise in Dubai, I looked back at the marina & had flash back to my cruise from Miami Beach. Of course Dubai has the tallest building n largest mall which can't be found in Miami but that marina area looks similar

Where would you say are "The Azores of Asia"? Jeju, Taiwan, Izu Islands, Ogasawara Islands, New Zealand?

Taiwan is extremely populated and industrial, nothing similar to a tropical paradise like the Azores.
