Why do Nordic capitals/cities have overhead street lights hanging on wires in the middle? Looks somewhat ugly and more like suburbs.
I guess you were looking at the link I posted of Stockholm City. You must of really been studying that picture to even notice those overhead street lights.
Those are not everywhere.
Stockholm is nice but relatively boring... Flat as well. That skyscraper is in Kista, not city center. If Stockholm built more modern skyscrapers, it would have looked nicer. Stockholm compared to Paris and London is a joke...

I don't see the correlation between the beauty of a city and skyscrapers.
And also, this thread is comparing places like Stockholm to Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, etc. Not Paris and London.
That last photo at least doesn't look like "any old North American city".
The last 2 pictures were not there when I posted But yes I guess that one doesn't look very North American, more European. What city is it?
