Is it because its perceived as colonizing and taking over oil reserves half a world away? Is it because of economic disparity or racism, in light of recent events going on?
This is why.

Thats is because Europeans for the most part equate intellectuality with being as Liberal as possible, it does not matter how far-fetched and irrational these Liberal ideas may be.

Americans are often accused of being dumb but most Europeans are group think, politically correct drones programmed to accept and comply with whatever Big Daddy Government decides is best for them.

The hipocrisy is just disgusting!

As a general rule, I find US conservatives (excluding the far right) to have foundational values that are generally sound, but they lack integrity and courage. European liberals, I find to be foundationally weak and more inclined towards groupthink, but they have relatively more integrity and consistency. I think both groups are equally dismal when it comes to independent critical appraisal, ergo, both are equally vulnerable to legacy media propaganda and normalcy bias.

Based upon my personal observations, I would say there is some truth to the accusation that those to the left of the spectrum suffer from the Dunning Kruger effect.

They are more inclined to consider their morally subjectivist, verificationist value systems to be the height of intellectualism, completely unaware that these are internally incoherent views. Most aren't even aware that their views are discrete value systems at all, considering them to be an epistemic default.

This makes me wonder how far to the right the republicans actually are...?

Not very. Differential bipartisanism means that they're just conservative in a different way to conservatives in Europe.

They spend their days wishing they had that, and sleepless nights tossing in sweat-soaked sheets, seething with jealously.
No, they are jealous of the fact that we live happy, comfortable lives where pretty much anything you need is accessible. You have been reading too much propaganda or watching anti-American news reports.

Ridiculous! So, the USA is the only country in the world where people live happily and have access to what they need? The only country?? Are you sure about that?

There's a lot of American people like you who get up and say: "i know the way" and there's a lot of clowns who will follow him/her, but at the sametime if someone uses any kind of honesty and singles out the American hypocrats he is not setting any kind of example and is judged of course as a dangerous left wing commie.

Hey, guess what - so does every other developed country - even ones mired in recession like Spain and Greece.
