Comparing global prices including sales tax or VAT to US prices without sales tax, dealer fees or delivery charges ... A very useful topic like always here on CD .

^^^ I agree... most likely just to brag how "cheap" are cars in the USA...
Such a calculation does not take into account variations in wages between countries nor exchange rates, distorting the true picture of affordability.
Good infographic here:

And here is a map of gas prices:

I only looked at used cars when I lived in the US because I cannot afford expensive new BMW's but used cars are honestly way more expensive in the US than over here in the Netherlands.

Then there is the thing about used cars salespeople in the US. Someone tried to charge us 8% sales tax on a car when the actual rate in Texas was something like 6.25% at the time. The fact that they are such a bunch of cheaters over there makes you even pay more on the already overinflated prices than you should.

Im not sure about some of those number though. "The average parking fee in Australasia is an astronomical $28 an hour". It must have been a pretty small and atypical sample.. Short term, casual, weekday parking in the Sydney central business district (CBD) can be pretty expensive, but daily rates are way, way less (around $25/day). But the Sydney CBD is only one tiny part of Australia.

This is the most non-sensical post I have ever read. If a BMW 328i costs on average 38K in the USA and 46K in the Netherlands, How the hell can used cars be more expensive here in the USA? Depreciation is about 10% as you drive it off the lot.

Even with the sales tax which vary from state to state. a BMW at 36K with the average sales taxes of 5% would still be affordable, and if you want to pay lower sales taxes, you can always go to another state.

Like I have always avoided to buy cars in Minnesota due to the European like tax structure, all you have to do is drive a few hours south to Missouri and save a lot on sales tax.

Wow. I just read an article about cars in Singapore and a BMW 335i retails for S$340,000 ($260,000), that is roughly 5 times more expensive than here in the USA.

This is a good explanation for people who are interested in how a car can be that expensive. It's certainly no free market in Singapore.

Europe has relatively more smaller cheaper cars so when looking at used cars there are more of those to choose from. The 328i is very rarely seen here, people generally buy the 318d or 320d so your comparison makes no sense in addition to neglecting all the fees and taxes you pay in the US.
