To all indiduals whom immigrated to their adopted countries, be it lawfully or unlawfully, the experience can be life-altering, both for themselves and/or their families and offspring. From these same peoples vantage point and perspectives, how is life, culture and social interactions (how do people respond to one another or treat other people; individuals) and the laws and politics, etc., the same or different from those in your host (current) country to your nation of birth (country were you born-and-raised)? While comparing the countries, what do you like about more or less in your host country than you did in your country of origin and vice versa (what is also true in the opposite)? Also, if you could make a dramatic change about one area (facet) in your adopted country and, again, your country of origin, what would it be?

In the US I like the peace and respect for human life compared to where I am from. I don't like that it can be more materialistic and there is no sense of community in many places. If things were to get well in my country I would probably go back, but I am very grateful for the opportunities the US has given me.

Thanks for the reply! By the way, where are you originally from?

MY sentiments mostly. Although I like the U.S a lot more than Nigeria (my homeland) and would be torn on moving even if Nigeria's HDI was similar to the U.S.
