Overall: 5? How? Should be at least a 6.5.

Washington DC: (The U.S. capital)

Education: 8.5 - Pretty good universities like Georgetown, George Washington University, American University, Catholic University of America, University of Maryland, etc. People get good jobs graduating from these places. However, these universities are not as highly ranked as Ivy League universities.

Safety: 8 - The city has gentrified and the upscale areas are pretty safe. The poorer areas are not that safe and still have a lot of homicides and drug dealers. However, nobody who can afford to will live in the poor areas in their right mind.

Health Care: 9 - Anybody with a good, stable job has excellent healthcare. 'nough said.

Corruption: 8 - Americans have historically tended to be anti-government and some people think that all politicians are corrupt. But this is largely an illusion since politicians are voted into office by those same people who are against government. This is also complicated by the fact that America has a special and unique role in the world among nations.

Cleanliness: 8 - Washington DC is a very clean, picturesque city in the tourist areas, downtown and in many neighborhoods. The poorer areas are obviously more run-down, but again most people who have the means don't go to those areas.

Plano, Texas

Education: 10 (tops in country public)

Safety: 9

Healthcare: 10 (if you have insurance)

Corruption: dunno, but they keep lowering my taxes

Cleanliness: 8 in the nice parts of town and 5 in the not-so-nice

Weather: 5 (I like cold winters and hot summers, but most people do not; the autumn is truly fabulous)

Cost of Living: 7 (it's cheaper to live here and you get a lot of amenities, but it's not as cheap as people think)

Things to do: 2 if you're single and 7 if you're not into 'nightlife' - but drive 15 minutes and you will be anywhere good

Groningen, Netherlands.

Education: 9. University in World top 100 and 50.000 students on 200.000 citizens. That must be good. No 10 because we have too little high-end jobs to keep them all here.

Safety: 8. Every street is safe. There is little crime. A few years ago I would rate it a little higher because the crime that exists has become more violent in recent years.

Healthcare: 9. Healthcare is very good in Netherlands and Groningen is no exception.

Corruption: 9. I would not say it doesn't exist but again, corruption is no big deal here.

Cleanliness: 6. The city outside the city center is not that clean, especially compared to cities in f.ex. Germany and Scandinavia and because of government budget cuts it will not get better the coming years.

Weather: 6. O boy, Dutch weather. Always take your umbrella with you. But Spring it is generally very pleasant so no lower rating here.

Cost of Living: 6. Food, electronics etcetera are okay but cars, gas, public transport, insurances are expensive and housing is outright expensive.

Things to do: 8. Lots of things to do here. Summer Festivals, theaters, events, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars and no closing hours. In ratings of best culture city in Netherlands Groningen is always 2nd or 3rd after Amsterdam and competing with Maastricht.

São Paulo, Brazil
Education: 6 (because of the universities; if only basic education, 3 or 4)
Safety: 2
Healthcare: 5
Things to do: 10
Corruption: 4
Cleanliness: 4 (taking away the overhead wires and the widespread graffiti, it would be 5 or 6)

For me personally, it's just too dry and arid. Not green enough.
